Vegetarian Festival is the most important ceremony celebrated by the Thai of Chinese ancestry in the South of Thailand and it take place during the first 9 days of the ninth Chinese Lunar month (September or October), with the purpose to purify soul and body in order to cure sickness, confer luck, and ensure prosperity and long life to the individuals and welfare to the community.
